Feyisola A.

image

Hair as flowing as the Niagara
Eyes like twin supernovae
That draw me to her
Like it’s aftermath
While engulfing me in fire and ice
Like a sickening paradoxical apparition
That haunts and taunts me.

Laying eggs of inspiration
In the uncomfortable nest of my cranium
That has been made empty
By her sirenic whispers
A voice that thwarts the very essence of Music
Fusing opera. . . with orchestra
.
.
.
I get up to act.
